Picture A Week Where Everything Goes According to Plan

Picture a week where everything goes according to plan. Where you sit each day with laser like focus, speeding through the most important tasks, making massive progress on what matters, and finishing the workday with more free time than you have ever had before? Are you handcuffed with everything you are trying to do? Have you built your life around your business without having enough time to even build the business?

A week where you can grow your business or advance your career without sacrificing your life instead of trying to fit a little life around your working hours.

What would you do differently in you perfect week than you are doing today?

It’s easy to fall into the trap of constantly trying to chase the tasks at hand only to be in the exact same place tomorrow. What must I do differently to grow my/the business? These are all questions that we all ask, simply because what got us to one place isn’t necessarily going to take us to the next. But, before something can be achieved, it must first be defined. So, here are 12 things that can help you get to where you want to go.

1

Goals

It’s time to write down where would you like your business to be in 12 months’ time ? Or simply what would your life look like?

2

Determine

What has been the cost of not being able to focus on growing the business or even having your life revolved around your business?

3

Urgent/Important/Not Important/ Not Urgent

Are you handcuffed with everything you are trying to do? First you must determine everything you actually DO, and yes, I mean everything – from eating lunch, to meetings, to creating staff agreements, to exercising. Done? Yup! Ok so once you are don use the matrix below. Write down everything that is:

  • Not Urgent/Not Important – for example checking social media.
  • Urgent/ Not Important – for example answering emails, responding to tenant complains (Property Management), filing, audits or any necessary items that need to be attended to for compliance requirements (usually this will be a significant number of tasks).
  • Urgent/Important – for example working to get a large sale across the line.
  • Not Urgent/Important – for example doing those sales calls/potential landlord calls (Property Manager), preparing for your team meeting that will ensure the team is on track, submitting your proposal to investors marketing strategizing, getting your company finances on tract, meeting potential candidates for a job role. Non work related: Spending time with family/friends, exercising, cooking nutritious meals. Tip: These are the items that are going to propel your life and business to where you want it to be.

4

Strategize

So that you can identify the steps needed to take to accomplish your goal? Whether that’s marketing your business, focusing on sales or simply setting time a side to spend with your loved ones.

5

Delegate

So remember those Urgent/Not Important tasks? Well, often you can delegate them. The key is to find a staff member who can assist you with this? And if money is an issue, skills or staff retention we got you covered with that too. Remember a lot of these tasks will be highly administrative based (behind a computer) – so you might as well let us help you so you can focus on building the business/having quality time with your loved ones or focusing on your health. 6

Focus

Studies show that there is a window period of about 3 hours where we are usually 3x more productive. It’s time for you to find the magic hour and ensure that the important/ non urgent things are scheduled in during that time slot.

7

Set Boundaries

If you are serious about changing your business or your life you must stick to delegating what’s not important and focus on what is important. Ensure you schedule time in your calendar every day to do those “Important/Non urgent tasks” (don’t forget that this is scheduled in your magic time). You may even need to let your staff know not to send those tasks to you anymore but simply to send them to your dedicated VX Staff.

Now, it’s time for you to start working on your business rather than in your business. Let us help you, so you can focus on what is important.
